Kareem Seif is a cinematographer, filmmaker and technical director who has worked on numerous high-profile projects — from assistant director in various feature films and Al-Jazeera documentaries, to director of two award-nominated independent short features, numerous TVCs and corporate/ documentary films.
As a freelancer during his early university years, he worked various jobs in the film/TV industry that allowed him to closely observe how cinematographers, screenwriters, editors, colorists and filmmakers work. These freelance jobs not only helped him to understand how filmmaking works, but qualified him to occupy various positions in big production houses. Today, he is the Founder and Executive Creative Director of Al Rawi Productions, a Qatar based film production house.
Kareem was involved in several major projects that took him throughout the Middle East. His clients include Emaar, Qatar Petroleum, The Olympic Committee – Qatar, The British Council – Cairo, Al-Jazeera Channel, Qatar Petrochemical Company, The Ministry of Culture – Egypt, The Marine Festival Committee – Qatar, David Atkins Enterprises and others.
